Gou haters could write long eloquent essays about Gou's "flaws," but always, without a doubt, they will add in at the very end, "he should've been a girl." This single line undercuts the rest of their argument for it indicates the hater is willing to overlook these supposed flaws if Gou were a cute girl they could fap to or ship with Ash. Some will respond to my post saying they "genuinely hate Gou," but even if that were true, those repliers are just an exception to the rule—once again, the only proof you need is to go onto any 4chan archival site and search up "Gou girl," "Goh girl," "Gou female," or any other combination of similar terms.
>>52587472This was most evident during the Serena episode. In the weeks leading up to it, Gou x Koharu was spammed, with people pretending to ship them. But the moment the Serena episode came out, those posters vanished—obviously, because they'd rather post their true ship, Ash x Serena. To me, this says these posters genuinely think Gou has a chance with Ash or rather they've been so mind broken by fujoshi that just the mere sight of Gou standing next to Ash sends them into panic, such that they have to spam Goharu in every thread to separate Gou from Ash. No surprise then that the Goharu posts instantly stopped once those posters felt "validated" by Serena's return.
>>52587478People continue to push this falsehood, but whenever someone responds "In that case, why did TV Tokyo move Journeys into Golden Time? Why would a business, that only cares about money, put a flop into their most profitable timeslot—and not only that, but keep it there for its entire run?" the only answer they have is "m-m-muh VCR recordings that Mipon consistently lists as being dubious." Gou haters can't even be honest with themselves; instead of just saying, "I hate Journeys because it doesn't have a girl I can jerk off to," they have to conjure up lies about Journeys being a flop, because the idea of Gou actually being liked upsets them.
