>>49738757>So am I, yet I get them, that's real crazyGoing to give you my perspective as someone who's mid masters. Was recently as high as 1670 or so.
Certain kind of pokemon can score much easier than others. Either they have great bulk and CC.
Wiggly, Blastoise, Snorlax etc
>They have high mobility and damage and just sneak to score goals, when they likely should be somewhere else like talon or greniggers. Or they're broken like Lucario and Greedent.
Or you are Crustle who can do nothing but score and can't even do that as well as Greedent.
Something like Gardevoir or Pikachu even if they're dealing the majority of their teams damage will never be allowed to score as frequently do to the following reasons.
1. They likely have longer score animations. Meaning that even if you win a team fight and are on the enemy goal as soon as others they will finish scoring first.
2. They are in the backline. So even after the fight is over they will reach the goal after their teammates are already there and finished breaking the goal.
3. As they have less opportunities to score they likely have larger amounts of Aeos stored which takes longer and gives your team an easier time to break the enemy goal with 6 points instead of your 50.
4. Because even if you score you will reach the goal last and finish scoring last and take longer to score as your team is already leaving. The enemy will be catching up to you and killing you while you're alone because your pokemon has no mobility to escape. So even if you could score you are now feeding catch up exp.
I think I covered everything without thinking too much on it. So yeah you probably do score a lot but it likely means you play things like Greedent or maybe greninja and wrongly.
and lastly MVP is determined mostly by the amount of points you scored not so much with your actual contributions to the team
