>>22311297except that there are only like...4 NSMB games which usually have different features
We went from NSMB1, which was a new 2D mario game since in the GBA generation we only got reports of SNES games, one of them had e-card enchancements.
To NSMBWii which features 4 players coop in one screen, best feature ever made in the series.
To NSMB2 which is just NSMBWii levels/music and shit but with a golden coins gimmick, the only NSMB game to be truly a god damn rehash since EVERYTHING, except said gimmick was rehashed.
To NSMBU which is NSMBWii but on steroids since it has a lot of cool stuff, shamefully its on the NSMB legacy and thanks to NSMB2, its considered a damn rehash and nobody appreciates the great level design it had. Also, the DLC pack called NSLU[new super luigi U] has a lot of content it could be called an expansion pack
TL;DR: there are only 4 and a half NSMB games
And besides, let me tell you something about how Nintendo's gamimg ideas work
If its new[as in, new IP, new everything], nobody gives a fuck about it
If its an already stabilished franchise with new mechanics, people complain for not being the same thing
If its said already stabilished franchise that goes back to the old formula, its a rehash
If its a revival of something old, people simply don't like it for the minimal excuse[i.e. Kid icarus uprising controllers broke people's hands]
Nintendo can't win in any side, they cannot please their fans, they cannot please their stockholders, they cannot please the new audiences they are looking for[because said audiences want Nintendo to borrow some features from other popular game], they cannot please ANYONE, not even themselves.
