And instead, the mega evolution designs get used as actual evolutions. Legendary MEs become Formes. If the ME is of a 3rd evolution pokemon, instead of it being a 4th evolution pokemon, it's an alternate 3rd evolution.
So example, Charmeleon can evolve into either Charizard, Charizard Y, or Charizard X.
And obviously they all get renamed and rebalanced.
