I'll not miss soaring too much, but I legitimately liked Dexnav. You could get mons with egg moves and hidden ability for the main adventure without having to breed.
It was also a great way to farm hold items from wild mons.

Fly replaces soar but your flying on a generic bird with certain Pokemon having their own model like how you can surf on sharpedo or Kyogre.

It was a thing that defined ORAS and made it memorable.
Therefore it will not return because GameFreak are idiots and withhold features to make each game "unique", thinking it will make you play older games.

It was like a bad version of fly, used it only for those damn Isles, otherwise pure trash.
Fly goes quick easy and you don't have to fly around to find the place you are looking for.

If ORAS had been filled with more other cool shit I'd have appreciated that they even went through the trouble to put soaring in.

Also the fact that a similar feature was intended to be in RSE anyway and the fact that Hoenn is an island. Soaring in Kalos would "confuse the kids" when they hit a wall trying to go south of Vaniville.
