I mean, look at the Lucario from the movie. It's even shorter than Ash. Goh's Cinderace is taller than Ash and Goh, so they had to really size up Ash's Lucario to compensate.
They broke the lore to promote Ash!!! Holy heck , my reaction is : wow they ruined the heckin lore! This is not sassy or eye candy at all!
