>>34367452Actually, this is the only MC + Rival pairing I actually do like. All the others are pretty stupid in one way or another, except Calem and Shauna, I guess, that one could be interesting but nobody draws it or writes about it. Blue is just the right amount of asshole to come off as a male tsundere but not going overboard into edgelord territory like Gladion or Silver. And I can't stand the "I'm nice to you" rivals, they're so boring, except Shauna, she sort of works because it kind of feels like you're the one bullying her most of the time.
I guess semi-functional relationships are more fun to think about for me.
