Yeah bro, being able to dive is totally as much a Hoenn hint as everything in SV is an Unova hint.
And the KANTO-Johto (not exclusively Johto) park which literally has the fucking nugget bridge from Kanto on it in the same generation they made Kanto again is also a clear Johto reference, not a Kanto one, that would be absurd!
