>>30220285Correct. Masuda has stated before in interviews that while they want to implement more romance, they NEVER want it, or the human characters in general, to become the focus. The focus is and should always be on the Pokemon themselves, or else it's just not fucking Pokemon.
Teases and implied subtext should be enough for shipperfags. Also, canon "forced" romances are not exactly all that well-received by the playerbase, especially Japanese ones.
