>>45296213This is actually a big deal. HAL and Genius made a lot of good animations, but in a context where not every battle is created equal and you're often clearing fodder opponents (Mt. Battle, Miror B's gauntlet in Colosseum, etc.), they do start to drag. Of course the Game Freak games let you turn the animations off but that point you've almost given up finding that balance.
Speaking of, can we appreciate that Colosseum treats Miror B like a Gen 1 final boss? You go through two or three locations and largely have to fight a bunch of trainers to reach him.
