I prefer Ash catching an Alpha Garchomp so his Gible doesn't have to evolve. Because I am fond of Gible's personality and have second thought on Ash evolving him someday.
At least an Alpha Garchomp would set itself apart from Cynthia's Signature Garchomp. Maybe Cynthia can get an Alpha version of one of Ash's Pokemon.
