>>51002750Obvious answer would be to build a better team. Easy to say in hindsight, I know, but Kyurem was a popular OU mon and having an entire team weak to one of its sample sets was a bad choice. Not preparing for common threats is just asking to lose.
Blissey walls the shit out of it, Galarian Slowking also does a great job despite the weakness, and even Ferrothorn can do the job adequately.
Assuming he has to use this team, he could lead with Dragapult. Landorus is an obvious lead, so Kyurem is an obvious counter-lead. And even if BIHI didn't lead Kyurem, Dragapult can still hit anything hard with Dragapult (no fairies = guaranteed damage) or just U-Turned out. Maybe. It's hard to know what he could've done because we never see any of Dragapult's moves, but I assume it was a standard set.
If he absolutely NEEDS to lead with Lando, leave Lando in and click Stealth Rocks. Worst case, Lando dies and you get a clean switch-in. Best case, BIHI tries to double predict and Lando sets up SR unharmed.
In hindsight, we know it would be the latter and would leave Finch in an even better position, but even the former is a better play because losing Lando is better than getting 6-0'd.
After that, send in Melmetal for a Double Iron Bash or Dragapult for a Draco Meteor. Both choices would do guaranteed damage. Dragapult outspeeds Kyurem, and Melmetal can survive at least one Earth Power. If it doesn't hit Kyurem, it'll at least chip whatever BIHI switches into. After that, it comes down to whether BIHI sacks his Kyurem or what he switches to.
TL;DR: Finch lost because he sucks.
