According to lolbapedia, Scyther caught in: FireRed, Diamond, HGSS (bug catching contest only), not at all in Gen 5, and X/Y.
I don't have Diamond or FireRed, but do have HeartGold. So I figure I'll catch one and evolve it there.
My question: Since its not a contest day today, if I change the date on my DSL, does the game detect that and throw a fit (like the 3DS games do)?
