Scorbunny was the start by allowing him to actually temper his expectations and start putting more care into other living beings rather than treating it all with cold logic. Now Sobble is going to be a sort of self reflection of himself as he's slowly starting to see more of himself within his Pokemon and chances are Grookey will probably be used as a way to use all he has learned to help others and adjust his goal to something more realistic and tangible.
