going by masuda's interview were he said he didn't want to include the BF in oras because they didn't think kids would care about it because they have cellphones to compete with is a terrible excuse for not giving it a little more effort into the games, and the other interview were they reveal that the trials in SM were done very late into the game, so they barely had any artists left to make assets explaining why there were some incredible lazy and underwhelming looking trials like Mallow's original trial that is just picking up some items or sophocles trial that is just text and black screens, shows how shitty GF is.
also they've been rushing the games as of late, instead of playing it safe and releasing the games when they're ready, now they've been trying to make a yearly release schedule that is probably gonna shit all over the quality of the games
