>>43110072>>43110179Gamefreak's probably kind of torn about Gardevoir. It's easily one of the most popular pokemon, and has been since it's debut. And while they'd probably love to capitalize on that by giving it more spotlight and merchandise, they're also painfully aware Gardevoir is THE waifumon and attracts a lot of attention that doesn't quite match with the image they probably want to convey for their children's videogame series.
So while the early entries were fine talking up how loyal and dedicated it was towards it's trainer, once they saw what the internet was doing they likely decided to focus on it's capabilities instead. The ship has long since sailed, of course, but it's the best damage control they can do.
