Last thread was so...toxic to the point where I didn't even bother posting this, but it's a clean slate here so I might as well do it now.
Pokemon DP's final episode, Memories are Made of Bliss! (Japanese: 想い出はパール!友情はダイヤモンド!! Memories are Pearls! Friendship is a Diamond!!) aired on this very date ten years ago. After four long years in the Sinnoh region, Ash finally bid farewell to Dawn (and Piplup) who had been an major presence alongside him in the series, as well as finally saying goodbye to Brock, his longest ever travelling companion who had accompanied him on his journey to every region up to that point (bar the Orange Islands). This episode was also poignant in the sense that it marked the end of the original OS-DP line that had held from the very beginning, and the anime was never the same again after transitioning to BW the following week.
Ten. Fucking. Years. That's just mindblowing. It only felt like yesterday that we just said our goodbyes to both Dawn and Brock, and yet here we are one decade and four generations later. Time really flies.
