We know they're aware of their fanbase. We know they put in little things, like long, straight bike routes where breeding is done, for the sake of the competitive player.
Why are they so desperate to shit on their largest source of income by intentionally making the starter sequence difficult to SR? They have a cutscene that manages to segway from when you rescue nebby, all the way to when the kahuna shows up and puts you on the spot. They clearly don't want you to be able to choose the specifics of your starter, but I just don't understand WHY. WE(the idiots) GAVE YOU OUR MONEY, WHY ARE YOU OBSESSED WITH CONTROLLING HOW YOUR STUPID GAME IS PLAYED????
