>>50775671I just want BASE Charizard to be playable. I think he is close to it but some minor buff would be enough.
>BST ChangesSATK 109 -> 115
SPD 100 - >110
The new BST total would be 550 (I think that every starter should have this BST)
This makes him hit a little bit harder and puts him on a much better speed tier.
>Move ChangesAs for new moves: Aura Sphere and Energy Ball, both moves work on the concept of focusing energy and learns 2 moves that would fill the same roll, Namely Focus Blast and Solar Beam. The choice between AS and FB would be about Power Vs Consistency. While EB would be better for Charizard outside Sunny Day teams.
Scorching Sands is now an 80 Power move (like Scald).
>Ability ChangesBlaze (This change would be adapted to Overgrow , Torrent and Swarm too).
Powers up Fire-type moves. When the Pokémon's HP is low, boost all of its stats are boosted.
Now you ALWAYS get the 50% power boost to your Fire moves instead of being a conditional. To keep the spirit of the original ability as a comeback ability, you get an omni-boost once when your HP hits 1/3… which is kinda hard to do In Pokémon.
Solar Power
This ability has a conditional AND a negative side effect. It grants you a 50% boost your SATK, nothing to scoff at but Adaptability does the same with no side effects. For such a price the payoff should be HUGE. Chlorophyll gives you a x2 boost so using that as a base, I think SP boost should be:
x1.4 ATK, x1.4 SATK and x20 SPD. While losing 10% damage on SATK hurts, getting 20% faster sounds like a good trade off to me. The 40% extra attack means that you can consider physical or even mixed sets even the idea of designing Physical Oriented Pokémon is opened making it a much more flexible ability. Other Pokémon with SP: Sunflora, M!Houndoom, Tropious and Heliolisk.
