One thing that had always irked me in RSE, too, was how Team Aqua always used Crawdaunt in the anime but never in the games, not even the pre evo. Not only is Crawdaunt an incredibly cool Pokemon (imo at least), it & Corphish would've been a fine addition to mix teams up a bit.
Wailmer was never used by anyone in battle, either, despite the game telling us that Team Aqua has access to these Pokemon. What gives?

Good point though because again, the anime gave Team Magma Houndoom in a very early episode which even sort of match the style their uniforms had going on. Missed opportunities all around.
