I'm not gonna harp on the whole Eternatus segment because we all know it was rushed to hell, my point is we gotta look at this from an in universe character perspective: Rose knew Galar had finite energy, he knew Eternatus was gonna cause move havoc than good, he KNEW the problem was multiple millennia away from being a real problem thanks to Leon, but for some damn reason he releases Enternatus anyway just cause. It's such a character assassination that it either make him look like a real dumbass or a real clout chaser to be Galar's savior.
And it's not like Enternatus wasn't built up, if they just changed the story to "We have infinit energy but Eternatus is such a wild monster that we literally cannon keep it contained for much longer," that would have made so much more sense and I really have to wonder if the writers were even working together or the game designers just made the cut scenes first and the writers just had work around it as best they could...
