The beta however is something entirely different and differs heavily from the final product. It contains Pokemon that were either scrapped for good or redesigned for future generations. A few designs are even pretty awesome. Same applies for the map which encompassed Japan instead of Kansai.
It's 20 years old content, but seeing GF's former ideas for Gold is pretty amazing stuff.
