I know Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar are inspired by real world places but that doesn't make them literally Japan, USA, France, and the UK. But I'm pretty sure real life countries exist within the pokemon world as well since we have Lt. Surge who is a US soldier from Kanto known as the "Lightning American" Gym leader.
Is the Pokemon world a country with multiple regions or something?
