There's an odd one out here.
>>50362507>>50362510>>50362513>>50362524See? None of you have watched the anime. You don't care about its history. One of you even admits you're just here to be faggots and you don't actually care.
>>50362515Lance consistently appeared in the anime from Gen 2 to Gen 3 as one of Ash's main allies against major threats, is the champion of Ash's home region and Ash was one of the main reasons Lance got his ace, the Shiny Gyarados. He was also one of the major inspirations for why Ash would join this entire event, given it was Leon vs Lance that awed him from the very start so defeating Lance illustrates he is 'ready' to take on Leon.
No other champion has been influenced by Ash and no other champion represents Ash's growth from his beginnings in Kanto as much as he. Leon signifies Ash reaching the pinnacle of battling. The other champions signify nothing. Lance signifies Ash has mastered himself and become the greatest trainer in Kanto, having surpassed the man he had been aided by in the past.
Diantha is irrelevant garbage. Alain topped out at E4-level and has no narrative relevance like Paul, who was foreshadowed by Cynthia back in DP for the 'Champion's League'. Steven has no weight in Ash's history and Iris was already defeated.
Only Leon, Cynthia and Lance are relevant here. If they didn't want him to challenge Lance it should have been Paul instead of Lance. At least then it would make sense with Paul being an avid battler and it being setup over a decade ago.
You know I'm right. That's why you will respond with a braindead seething response.
