>>43311090Again, I don't think Pokémon who are presented as "literally just a dog" are any more intelligent than a guide dog or a rescue dog in the real world (who ARE surprisingly intelligent). A lot of the flavor ascribed to Pokémon also aren't the result of raw intelligence (collecting valuable things, detecting fear, etc.) but traits evolved for a specific purpose in that one species, who are just following their instincts.
