>Best N's Castle. Forshadowed in the intro, you constantly wonder, "When are we're going to attack their base?" Because unlike previous games, you go through nearly the entire game without raiding their base. One of the sages in Castelia City even mentioned how he wanted to make a base near Burgh's gym however, Ghetsis replied how they already have a exceptional base of operations. So, the cutscene where N summons his castle after triumphing over the Unova Champion Alder was a great, but anticipated surprise. To see N's castle tower over the Pokemon league dramatically, which was already large by itself(especially when you walk up the stairs towards the champion room), was staggering. And then, when you enter the castle, the Seven Sages tries to ambush you. But not before being interviened by the very Gym Leaders that you met and helped along the way, thanks to Bianca. I like this scene because throughout your journey, the Gym Leaders were more active in dealing with Team Plasma as well as helping others, including your friends Cheren and Bianca. So, seeing them come together here to protect the bonds of trainers and pokemon was a touching reunion. And that's just the tip of the Iceberg. Between N's dragon summon, your dragon summoning, the final clash with N, Ghetsis' true self reveal(which was hinted alot throughtout the story), and N's resolution and conclusion, this is my favorite climax in all of the Pokemon mainline games.
>WorstThe Goldenrod Radio Tower. It just felt like a sidequest and the payoff wasn't anything extraordinary. The situation is that Team Rocket wanted to use the tower to not only bring back their old boss Giovanni, but to also control the minds of pokemon everywhere? And that's according to the Chairman they locked up. It just felt rushed, including the sudden high stakes. And the final battle with Archer, who we never met until now, was weak.
