>>54952267the only explanation that fits and explains all the weird discrepancies is that the entirety of Area Zero is a fabrication (maybe all part of the Dream World) and it changes based on whoever goes into it with what they believe it might be like.
when you read Heath’s book he talks about an expedition that took days. day 2 of the expedition he sees the markings on the ground, then it took him countless more days to reach the pit. the player sees it halfway down area zero so it’s nowhere near the surface. as a matter of fact, it only took the player and friends an afternoon stroll to get to the bottom while Heath needed to take days with supplies and a crew. Heath also saw multiple buried tablets but the only one the player sees is the single metal plate lying out in the open. the paradox pokemon drawn and photographed in the book also don’t really match the paradox pokemon the player sees, nor the jungle section its photographed in. it’s like Heath saw things completely different down there, while the Area Zero we get is just a passing resemblance to what Heath described, almost like if a person (the professor) read the Scarlet/Violet book and was told to recreate what Area Zero might be like in their minds, but details are wrong here and there because they didn’t actually go down there with Heath.
it might have to do with how terapagos terraforms the literal fabric of reality around areas with tera crystals, creating not only land and fauna but also fabricating fake pokemon too
