Same thing with ghost, all ghost type pokemons but Decidueye have something ominous in their Dex entries. So why are you pinning Decidueye Decidueyes design for it.
And to be honest, unlike greninja, it being an owl could have been a hint of a ghostly assent. Because most owl story's are depict owls with spirits or being spirits. And one last detail, the red part in Decidueyes eye. That also could've been a hint. It does look pretty ominous when you look at closely.
