If the next game turns out to be a Johto remake instead of Unova remake than we might get another redesign of Misty from that remake. I wonder if older Misty would finally get a hairstyle that fits her.
I also like to note that Misty's design does not match her type, she is a water type specialist but has spiky red hair like a Fire type specialist. She literally has to wear a swimsuit in every game to make herself look like a water pokemon specialist.
