XY did increase its speed stat at least, albeit conservatively (it's like 10 extra points for buffed mons then) and I was expecting a special based Mega that I used to breed Timid Pidgeys during its early days, only to be proven wrong, until ORAS came out and gave it the stats it probably should have gotten initially. It does want things like Hyper Voice or Sing, but I guess they didn't want Pidgeot to breakWHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!
