Yes, he will put that charred barebones hardly-seasoned-with-whatever-you-convinced-him-to-use hobo meal in front of you and smile proudly for providing you with sustenance even though you passed a million herbs that morning and you had room for a small saucepan, utensils, seasonings, and coffee in your pack.
And it winds up tasting better than you care to admit just because you're so damn hungry.
