>>53647736>Battle: Wallace! The true test of might for any trainer- a battle against the champion...
Erin went in expecting a bloodbath.
She came out of it with both a bloodbath and a fucking nap.
Despite having lost almost all of her team, the whole fight DRAGGED for HOURS purely due to Wallace's team of tanks meeting another tank- Polka, who singlehandedly took care of every one of his members until falling to Wallace's Gyarados, which was roundly taken out by Guile's Shadow Punch (and Will-O-Wisp + Confuse Ray combo) at the last moment...
At the end of it all, Erin came out on top. She was the champ. The greatest trainer in Hoenn.
And yet, that glory that she felt she'd feel when she was finally here...
It eluded her.
What could she do to regain that kind of rush?
Who knows, it isn't for us to find out. Erin's journey, however, continued...

Holy shit, that's the hardest Nuzlocke i've ever done. The only one harder was that failed run. I'll chalk that up to both Emerald being hard as dicks and my own inexperience with Hoenn; this is my second-ever completed playthrough of Emerald, despite it being my favorite game, because I spent so much time shitting around in the postgame on my first. I guess that was enough time wasted to make me forget some stuff like team layout and mon distribution, so I was coming into this playthrough essentially half-blind.
It was fun, though! Up until the boring stall of Wallace, at least. Hate that fucking champion, fighting him is never fun. At least with Lance you can counter hyper-offense with hyper-offense if you want, Wallace is just "stall him out or you're dead" 100% of the time. Uuuugh.
Anyways, that's Hoenn behind me. I'm getting a little tired so I'm not sure if I'll start Randomized Platinum today, but I'm looking forward to it regardless. Haven't played much of Platinum either.
