The Challenger will be free to use their Pokémon 1 at a time, 1 then 2, 2 then 1, or straight up go 3v1, that's how difficult the fight is (and Hime won't be allowed to use the Ghost form).Despite having a way smaller threshold of consecutive battles to win, the Battle Tomb would grow to become known as the hardest (and for some, the most unfair) facility of the Battle Frontier, as it challenges the very foundation of what being a Pokémon Trainer is.
His other Pokémon would either be taking it easy at his house in the Frontier's territory, at his other house in Snowpoint, returned to nature, or something in-between, for example, his Torterra would go on to become essentially a forest guardian, protecting Eterna Forest, but Ayumu would still visit him every now and then, and he would visit Ayumu as well.
