>>53927520In the original, you can completely shatter any and all difficulty by simply roiding up 1 pokemon from the beginning of the game, pouring every Gummi you find into them so you get a max IQ mon that can delete even Kecleons with a single press of the A button.
Due to this and how horribly stupid the partner AI is in the original, anything past playing a 1-mon team is pretty frustrating. You can't even set them to use only their moves AND stop them from using moves with 0PP at the same time. Also the recruits you put in your team disband after every mission so you have to go to the friend areas before every mission if you want them.
The remake places more emphasis on actually having a team with Rare Qualities affecting everybody, being able to save team builds, and movesets being better overall.
Both remake/original play wildly differently from one another. I wouldn't even call them the same experience, but I do think that the remake shouldn't be totally written off.
>Also I know that a 99 floor dungeon got changed to a 50 floor dungeonThe only 99f dungeon that got shortened was Western Cave, and that went from 99 floors to 20. The main thing there is that the Mewtwo is way harder in DX compared to the "literally just attack it once" waste of time in the original. You actually had to do Western Cave twice in the original to recruit it, which sucked.
The only other shortened dungeon was Uproar Forest, but you only ever went there for Chestnuts anyways. Mt Faraway actually got made longer by 20-something floors.
