Dragon Rush is too good to ever run dig, the backwards hitbox is very generous you should practice grabbing and pulling enemies into your speed flux zone and teammates. Dragon claw both does good damage and can combo with rush for guaranteed damage, it also drags but only the first hit and the area isn't as generous as rush but still very useful.
The one upside to earthquake is that the upgraded version hits three times and can get you to your boosted attack much faster while also slowing multiple targets.
Though getting to 5 hits is easy just get in the rhythm of dragon rush, auto attack, dragon claw, then start mashing to win any 1 v 2 assuming you hit it all.
