Have you autists ever considered the "shiny paradox"?
The process of acquiring a shiny isn't fun, challenging or entertaining in any way. Why go through it instead of hacking it?
>oh because the grueling process is what makes it worth it
So you're saying you're INTENTIONALLY putting yourself through a miserably dull and monotonous activity just for that brief "high" when you actually get it?
The shiny isn't a real reward, you're essentially validating it by forcing yourself to suffer. Its only merit is, paradoxically, because you force yourself to suffer.
Really makes you think. "Shiny hunting" is the most degenerate video game challenge since ''speedrunning".
