I chained about 60~ Cutieflies until it showed up.

It has a neutral nature, and Honey Gather as it's ability but I still love it a lot and I earned it the "legit" way

Man, what are you doing?

If you just sit in front of the egg lady and boost-run the Ride Tauros into her while oscillating the thumbstick a little, you can get/hatch an egg every 15 seconds. Not sure if swapping eggs for hatched mons is faster than a PC trip yet, but either way, that makes 5 boxes go by in less than an hour or so, give or take.

I just got that last night after a 41 chain. I was lucky enough for Shield Dust, but it has a Brave nature. Looks great with a Heal Ball though.

First shiny from breeding ever. Got it within the first box as well!

Only has 3IVs and nature is meh as I was still breeding for them but it's not a big deal. Funny thing is that the very next egg hatched was a 6IV male with a good nature.

no, shininess cannot be bred.

but if you breed for a shiny (via the masuda method) you can pass down the nature.

as such, when you finally get the shiny, it'll have the nature you want.

I got a shiny Jangmo-o after 8 boxes, no shiny charm, using a Jap Jang and my own Gible.

I almost wonder if the Masuda method got a boost because I've been seeing a lot of shinys with crazy low hatch count. Or I've managed to see every single lucky bastard and none of the '15 boxes and counting' guys.

I have decided if my shiny doesn't show up within 60 chains I will catch the Mon once I know it has ha and start a new chain.

It does when it completely runs out of pp on a move.
After that you can use recycle to get the leppa berry back.
You can even use recycle in a later battle. The used item is kinda 'saved' until it uses another item.

Anyway, it really depends on what you're trying to do. If you just want the Pokémon, I guess SOS chaining might be more efficient, but if you want specific IVs / nature / ability, chances are you'll have better luck with breeding.

I finally got my shiny pikipek, it had for perfect IV's in everything but HP and defense but it had a nature that means defense is better while attack is down but attack still has a 31 so i dont really care.

I just hatched a shiny Dhelmise by accident, I just wanted to get the nature I wanted so I could start working on IVs and one of the first ones I hatched was shiny... also, it'll have picked up 9 speed EVs by my count - if you don't want 'em, a tamato berry should clear that easy enoug.
