2019 is currently (and always was) the logical conclusion based on the typical length of a generation, which has never been lower than 3 years and their first Switch game isn't exactly going to be a quick project. It's funny you say "except the anime" as if the anime isn't one of the most important parts of the series and always lines up with the gen. The fact that XY and SM were announced by now, and still no sign of Zeraora, are just little things making it even clearer as the year goes on. The only 50IQ ape here is you my friend.
