Second fake Eeveelution to look at, we have the ground-type Bristleon. Ground type Eeveelution designs are tricky, because they have a tendency to devolve into either "ya like sand!?" or "ya like Egypt!?" This design avoids both of those pitfalls, opting instead for this fun (but not overwrought) desert nomad aesthetic. A long coat to keep sand, dirt, and bugs away from the skin, and a bristly (hence the name), palm frond-like tail to sweep offending detritus away, as wheel as whip up dust for its ground-type attacks. The face marking and the muddy boots-like aesthetic of its forelegs are also excellent. The ears might be a little plain, but as side from that I think this design is absolutely superb - it's actually my favourite fake Eeveelution.
Stats were actually provided by the original artist for this one. With 65 HP, 95 Atk, 65 Def, 60 SpAtk, 110 SDef and 130 Spd, Bristleon is a fast physical attacker but is tanky on the special side rather than the physical. Morever, it would be the fastest ground type in the game, giving it a very unique niche, as the fastest ground type up to this point is and has always been Dugtrio and I'd definitely say it's well-past time for some new blood on that front. Sand Veil is nothing special as an ability, but about what you'd expect. The artist came up with a new type of evolution stone for it called a Sand Stone, but I would argue a Sun Stone would be perfectly fine, especially as I generally imagine evolving the poison type evolution with a Moon Stone similar to the Nidos, which if implemented would sort of create the unspoken obligation to also let Eevee evolve via Sun Stone in any case.
This one I think is pretty cracked, but your thoughts, gents?
