What if some of the criticism was valid and deserved and some of the criticism was just nitpicking and there was a difference between the two with no overlap, regardless of the game's target market or what TPCi's revenue looks like? Can't we at least agree that the series could stand to have its game engine run through with a fine tooth comb or that it's interface needs consultation or even after PLA comes out that Game Freak should consider other ways of making its core battle system not only more appealing but to make LESS Pokémon into jobbers to incentivize the player to use different Pokémon in their teams? You can like the games and still see the cracks in the foundation, addressing them doesn't make you a toxic hater manbaby or whatever ad hominem is supposed to dismiss the criticism. It's a big series that isn't hurting for money, it can hire a consultant or some of Nintendo's own devs closer to home to clean some shit up. It can be included in Game Freak's budget as a courtesy or a bonus even given Nintendo's increased development budget which covers acquisitions and co-development projects.
Iwata may be dead but that should be used as an example of why GF could use more interventions from Nintendo like before to make things better.
