The worst starter I've ever used, worse than Meganium and Serperior. Changing into a ghost type does it no favors in a region where everything is dark type, the hardest hitting moves it has until it reaches its final form are Pluck and Razor Leaf, it's so slow that it never gets to go first, it's so weak that it can't one-shot anything, and its defenses are so low that it will almost always faint before it knocks out even a single Pokemon. And it's ugly. Out of all the Pokemon on my original Sun team, all of them were MVPs except for Decidueye and Kommo-o.
>>40183557I used an Adaptability Basculin with Aqua Jet in a Nuzlocke once. It happened to be Adamant, and it was a good way of quickly dispatching threats, just don't count on it to take a hit. Only send it in if you're sure you can KO with it. Seismitoad is probably more reliable all-around.
