>>54647945Yeah I don't get why people think EXP share is some kind of mechanic included only to cater to brain dead children, not that it's actually a pretty normal thing in RPGs to give the whole party EXP (even reserve members). It's literally just a reduction in time wasted doing the worst, most boring part of the game, it's the most consumer respectful change to the formula they've ever made and it's bizarre to me people get so mad about it.
It's honestly vastly improved the game imo because now I actually use a wide variety of Pokemon since grinding new ones doesn't mean I have to stop all progress for 5 hours while I fight the same weak mons over and over. So instead of relying on a small slice of good Pokemon that everyone uses (ex: The Universal Gen 4 Team) I sometimes end up with a different team at every gym. I'm also never over leveled because I switch things out so often, so the games are actually much harder than trying to play through with a single constant team - also getting the benefits of accumulated EVs and affection.
