When you finish a mission you get teleported back to the hub town, like in PMD, except PMD randomizes its locations while this hack doesn't, and they sometimes make you go through the same areas over and over for padding like making you go through SinisterWoods eleven fucking times. The game also loves Flash mazes.
90% of the plot consists of either:

You start the game as a kid in a Pikachu cosplay at your own birthday party, your friends make fun of you for it, then some shit goes down and you wake up as a Pikachu in the woods, meet a Chikorita and Torchic, and save a Caterpie from a group called Team Meanies led by a Gengar. You decide to join their rescue team, the Go-Getters (I wasn't lying, Red Rescue Team).
A few missions later, you find an Eevee who you find out is one of your friends. She's a crying bitch but gets over it and becomes generic when she evolves with the plot.
Later still, you meet a Dratini who wants to be a "real dragon" with Rayquaza's blessing. You meet him, then meet a Fakemon Legendary, and Dratini is another one of your friends and joins you.
Just going to note this now, there are about a dozen Fakemon Legendaries in the game and most of them are just jammed into the plot with a "there's a misunderstanding we must fight!"
