>>33567283Well it's one of those things that gets wierder the more you think about it, where the distinction for rights and protections should be drawn in a setting where there is a whole ecosystem of creatures that can actually communicate with humans.
Generally speaking, all Pokemon basically have animal rights, with abuses against those rights getting punished appropriately. But human rights are applicable to human laws and are pretty exclusive in their application.
Difference being, if some species of Pokemon have codified laws of their own, do they afford humans equal rights to themselves? Or do we have whatever their equivalent to animal rights would be?
