Typhlosion becomes a powerful mixed sweeper who can destroy low speed teams. With powerful moves such as Adapability Eruption/Rollout/Rock Slide, Double-Edge, or Earthquake, Mega Typhlosion will punish teams that don't have speed, priority, or status moves. On the other hand, he will also be instantly removed by any opponent with a move like Aqua Jet, Scald, Earthquake or Earth power.
Typhlosion is one of my favourite pokemon but has nothing of value to add to the table compared to other pokemon. I feel like a mega like this would create typhlosions own niche in the megagame, being a fire type Tyranitar-esque pokemon who walls many types, and can easily start punishing an opponent who fails to bring a well rounded team. That said he is extremely frail in special defense, and has massive weakness to ground and water type pokemon, or any other fast pokemon with good ground/ water coverage.
