For suspect tests, one of the mods gets a list/screenshot of the names at the top of the ladder, then all of the players post in a thread and claim their name.account. Your account name can be anything on Showdown, and you can have alts.
I think they can get Zarel to check the IPs in case someone tries to steal a name that's not their account, but other than that, they don't really know.
