I led with Latifa, and stalled Pikachu for awhile before switching to Ghost to heal her. Ghost had to die, sadly. Then I set up stealth rocks (only time I've ever used the move ever) and finished Pikachu off.
Then, when Lapras came out, I sent out Grillados to setup with using Ddances and X items, while praying for no crit. And then I was able to sweep Red with a red Gyarados. If that Gyarados fainted during setting up on Lapras, all hope would have been lost.
FINAL TEAM
Whitney the Miltank, level 57, came in very handy with Milk Drink helping with healing the party
Latifa the Nidoqueen, level 58, thought this the weakest part of my team the entire game until it helped stall Pikachu out.
Shaun the Ampharos, level 58, one of my favorite pokemon, I got lucky running into it, and it carried me through the Whitney fight.
Jason the Typhlosion, level 58, was deadweight for a long time until it got Lava Plume, after which it became really good
Grillados the Gyarados, level 64. The fucking MVP of the team, it singlehandedly made this run possible with Ddance and Waterfall/EQ/Ice Fang
