>>45523399If I can't instantly set my Natures, EVs and IVs from a menu, it's shit. 20-30 minutes per Pokémon to get usable EVs and IVs is way too much. If all gym leaders have perfect spreads but you have to autistically max every hidden values for your own team that's just padding.
I don't care about "faster EV gain" or "faster breeding", I'm not interested in that grindy shit. All Pokemon should be insta locked at 31 IVs with an option to reduce it if you're trying a low speed build of something.
Pokemon is fun when you catch whatever looks cool and use it right away, experimenting with team composition. This is fine in the main games because they're easy, you don't need to ensure amazing IVs and Natures and can use anything you catch right away. But ROMhacks like this are designed to be like battles on Pokemon Showdown. Suddenly, I need to have a huge investment in every new member of my team before it starts being useful. I can't just swap out and try something new without wasting at least 20+ minutes (depending on the point in the game I'm at, usually a lot more) getting just its EVs, IVs and Natures figured out, not counting getting exp. If you're going to have your game designed like it's battles on Showdown, then let me edit my teams like it's Showdown (I'd still have to catch and level up Pokémon, I'm talking strictly EVs/IVs/Natures).
These hacks tend to be janky, and tend to get dropped mid-development so they're already asking a lot for the average played to invest time in them. At least make it convenient for your players.
