This got me thinking, How come people go "it's a game for kids, it's baby game it's easy for braindead kids, go online if you want any challenge"?
But we have games like kirby that is just babies first platformer, but can still cater to new and old fans, they add stuff like the true arena, and the extra modes so older players have more to sink into, why can't Pokémon have a hard mode? After beating the main game you should unlock a new way to play the game to keep older fans invested, people act as if this would be the death f Pokémon if they dared to give a challenge option to baby game, little Timmy might pick hard mode and be unable to play the game, hate Pokémon and fuck his dog, but Removing content constantly, removing options, adding a new gimmick for every region now, is something healthy and should be praised?
Why are their so many excuses as to why that's bad or impossible for them to implement, but again all this stuff is fine, the whole gimmick of each new gen feels like how cartoon adds a new character, like poochy just something forced out to stay relevant, this only highlight how stale the games are becoming when you do this, these gimmick already give an effect of why bother? If you like it, it's gonna be dropped so don't get to attached to it, the next new gimmick who cares, it's one time thing, and if the gimmick sucks well it can't be fleshed out so it will be half baked forever.
Mega's could have been a whole lot better but they stuck around for a bit so they could tweak it and make it good, but no, it will stay half baked and it makes me question why did I even bother using it?
Newer games should have content from older games, "B-But they won't stand out anymore" Shut up, people play Emerald because of the fact they like region itself, adding battle frontiers in other games doesn't make the game obsolete, follow pokemon in newer games doesn't ruin Johto because it has nothing, people will play those games, because they like those regions.
