>>55152347I don't get it. People always say the PokeClones like TemTem, Nexomon, or Monster Crown just "don't engage them as much as Pokemon" either because of gameplay or designs. People will see romhackers make entirely new dexes and regions and go, "These designs are great, too bad it's wasted on trash Pokemon FireRed mod" or whatever.
So now we have a game that just says fuck it and copies Pokemon designs while obviously ripping off various elements from Legends (The visual elements of the UI and battle elements look directly taken from them) and incorporating some Monster Hunter gameplay in order to make it more "engaging" compared to standard Pokemon fare. And now /vp/ is going, "HURRRR LOOKS LIKE A POKEMON RIP-OFF".
Of course it fucking does, that's the whole point. What the fuck.
